Romantic Old Negatives

Here's the thing. Staying in the old part of the town or city is usually awesome. You are near many of the sights you want to see. You have a real sense of being in a place with history. It won't be anything like a modern townhouse in Kiama. On the other hand it will have old doors with tricksy locks that stress you out. Big breath. Stay calm. You'll work it out ... eventually.

We were picked up from our old apartment in Nice early this morning for an 8.00 am train to Nice. We had a relaxing trip and, after a struggle with the ticket vending machine, caught a tram to meet our greeter in old Nice. We have a brilliant apartment with tricky door locks.

After settling in and sleeping, we took an evening walk to the seafront via a street with Buddhas lit up on top of poles.

At the sea we were intrigued by bright lights hanging in the sky. Eventually we realised they were aircraft waiting to land at Nice airport on the other side of the bay.

We ate an ice cream and walked through the busy restaurant district back to our apartment where I successfully gained entry.
