No Nessie

It is a silly legend and there is no way that the most explored loch in Scotland has a monster. Still, I bet everybody who comes here looks across the water to see if that ripple is ...

It is an easy road from Skye to Loch Ness on a sunny morning. We stopped at Urquardt Castle which is moderately interesting and has an awesome view.

We arrived at Aviemore in the Cairngorms and did an evening walk at Loch an Eilein. We didn't have the energy to do the whole circuit but the forest and lakes were a big change of scenery from Skye with its bare mountains and burnt looking Heather.
