We spent an easy morning wandering around Inverness and exploring the local museum. We met our small tour group at Inverness Station and caught the train to Thurso at the top of Scotland. It was a scenic trip.
Ar Thurso we caught a taxi to Scrabster port for the Orkney ferry. As we neared Orkney the tallest sea stack in Britain, the Old Man of Storr, could be seen against the cliffs.
We docked at Stromness and a taxi brought us to our guesthouse here in Kirkwall. We begin our exploring tomorrow.
