Dingle to Adare

We returned to Dingle for lunch. Gourmet cheese roll for me and gourmet salad for Lyn. Yesterday evening we discovered the gardens of the Diseart Celtic Spirituality Centre which are beautiful. The centre occupies the building and grounds of an old convent. After lunch we went inside to admire the famous stained glass windows designed by Harry Nash in the 1920s. I liked Mary Magdalen the best because she looks so ... well ... so Irish!

Then we drove over the Connor Pass. You can see both sides of the whole peninsula from the top. I don't think my Samsung 5 photos do it much justice - you have to imagine the wind and a frisson of fear.

We have 2 nights staying in Adare in County Limerick. Think Leura without the altitude and with Americans instead of Asians. Americans are everywhere we go.  I think they must make up a huge proportion of Ireland's net earnings. Ireland spent a century exporting people to America and now Ireland is getting a something out of all that heartache.
