Driving to Granada

It wasn’t fun because it is very tense learning to drive on the right-hand side of the road, including roundabouts. We tried our best to keep it simple. We paid for an upgrade to an automatic, a Mercedes coupe no less! I navigated and Lyn drove, which made the most of our modest abilities. The scenery was mostly about 150 kms of olive groves, a couple of castles and the snow-covered Sierra Nevada in the distance.

We reached Granada in good time but with Easter upon us there were diversions and traffic chaos. Just what Lyn didn’t need. Eventually, I succeeded in reversing the Mercedes into a ridiculously tight parking station spot and we caught a taxi to our excellent apartment. We shopped for groceries and rested.

At 8.15 we went up to the rooftop terrace to take in the sunset. All our effort today was rewarded after all. This is the Alhambra at sunset.

And the car.
